Sutton Music Sunday Sessions
Come down to Sutton Music Centre, check out some live music and hang out with other local musicians. We are showcasing up and coming talent every other Sunday between 4 and 5pm on our in-store acoustic stage. Starts September 19th. Details on artists coming soon.
Sutton Music Centre’s new recording facilities
If you record music at home but have no space or soundproofing, Sutton Music Centre has the answer. We have a live space and control room available for hire on an hourly basis. You can bring along your laptop or hard disk recorder and connect up to our mixer, monitoring equipment and away you go.
Our bespoke sound isolated studios are perfect for capturing a good vocal sound or recording drums which can often be hard achieve in a home studio.
The control room offers monitoring, talk-back, 16 channel Yamaha desk, USB 2 in 2 out audio interface and a comfortable environment to work. The Live room is approximately 5m x 3m and is visible from the control room via a large studio window. There are 8 tie lines between the rooms ready for you to plug in your mics. The cost for the use of the live/control room space is £20 per hour. This includes the use of the monitoring, headphone amp, mixing desk with talkback, mic stands & leads. Extra equipment is available for hire at the following costs per session:

Set of AKG drum mics £8
5 piece drum kit £15
Marshall guitar amp £5
Midi keyboard £10
Other equipment available upon request
You are welcome to bring in mics, instruments and outboard equipment and we advise using your own audio and midi interfaces to save set up time. We have a refreshments area, toilets and an easy load in bay.
Our recording facilities are currently available for hire between 10am and 5pm, Tuesday to Friday. The rooms are often used for teaching at other times however please ask about evening hours if you need a block booking of at least 4 hours.
'Just start believing……….You can sing!!!' Join our new Rock & Pop choir @ Sutton Music Centre
Join in the fun of singing arrangements of classic rock and pop songs in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Sutton Music Centre’s Academy facilities offer a great environment to get involved in music, meet like minded people and develop your skills.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 8 – 9.15pm and are held at Sutton Music Centre in our new bespoke teaching studios. There is a refreshments/waiting area so you can catch up with other choir members and even free parking.
The choir is led Steve Clark, a highly experienced musical director and educator who has performed regularly in the west end and most of the UK's regional theatres. He also led the musical theatre course at Laine Theatre Arts for 3 years.
We will also have guest professional singers dropping in on some rehearsals to join in and offer performance tips.
The choir meets for 10 rehearsals per term and the fee is £75. If you join after the first week the fee is pro rata

Our new teaching studios are now complete and available for hire.
Our group teaching rooms are up and running. We also have a smaller teaching studio suitable for 2 to 3 people equipped with a Kawai acoustic piano and audio playback facilities. The charge per hour is £6 however we offer discount for block bookings. Please call and speak to Mark to discuss availability on 020 8642 2838
Our drum tuition studio is available for hire as a practice room @ £10 per hour. It's equipped with a 5 piece Pearl birch kit with Zildjian and Paiste cymbals. Call to book a time on 020 8642 2838

Harry Hill opens our new store
We had a fantastic day back in September when Harry came to cut
the ribbon (guitar lead!). Have a look at the footage of when Harry played
the ukulele with our 'house band'.
We've moved! As of September 16th we are trading from our new premises.
Please be gentle with us while we're settling in! We have most products available but it will take us a few days to get all our stock in. Our Banstead branch remains open until Sunday 20th but will then join the Sutton store. See below for more details.
