Course Fee - £120
This course is aimed at someone who has just got their first guitar, either electric or acoustic. You will cover tuning, string names, posture, names of guitar parts, strumming, holding a plectrum, basic chords, basic finger picking, basic scales, note values and note names, well known songs to play along with and more!

This course is aimed at someone who has just got their first guitar, either electric or acoustic. You will cover tuning, string names, posture, names of guitar parts, strumming, holding a plectrum, basic chords, basic finger picking, basic scales, 12 bar blues, note values and note names, well known songs to play along with, care and maintenance of your guitar and more!

This course is aimed at someone who has a knowledge of chords, scales, and strumming or has completed our Beginner Level 2 course. You will cover blues scale and basic improvising, famous guitar licks, Finger style techniques, transposing chords, pentatonic and more advanced scales, moving up the neck, plectrum techniques, Barre chords, chord progression theory, well known songs to play along with, basic set up skills and more!

This course is aimed at someone who has learnt some basics such as tuning, easy chords, strumming techniques etc. or has completed our Beginner course. You will cover new chords including barre chords, picking techniques, scales, well known riffs and learn 4 well known songs. The focus is to play each song using the techniques learnt in the previous lesson so as to develop new skills and a repertoire together.

This course will focus on the Rockschool Grade 3 syllabus using the techniques, tunes and technical exercises required for the exam. The exam is optional (held in Feb 2011) and the closing date for entrance is December 1 st. This course is aimed at someone who wants to advance their playing using a fun but well structured syllabus and have the option to take an exam which can count towards GSCE music. It follows on from our Intermediate guitar and performance courses.

This course is aimed at someone who is just starting playing bass or guitarist who wants to explore bass techniques. You will cover tuning, posture, names of bass parts, explanation of pick ups and active systems, Left and right hand technique, note values and rhythms, working with a drummer, rock styles, 12 bar blues, basic harmony, well known bass lines and licks and more!

This course is aimed at someone who has experience of playing bass and wants to explore new styles and techniques or has completed our beginner bass and performance courses. You will learn left and right hand technique, playing skills with a drummer, rock and blues styles, 12 bar blues patterns in different keys, basic funk style and slap techniques, ear training and transcribing skills, well known songs and more! The focus is to play well known songs using the techniques learnt in the previous lesson so as to develop new skills and a repertoire at the same time.

This course follows on from our beginner drum course. You will develop new 8 th note and 16 th note rock grooves, learn new fills, explore different styles including shuffle and blues, rudiments on the drum kit, bass drum technique, tuning of drums and basic maintenance, play along to well known songs, well known drum grooves, fills and more!
